Working Counsellor: Online & In Person Sessions

Hi, my name is Emily.

I work with clients of all ages, with a special focus on supporting children and youth as they navigate big emotions, relationships, identity, and life changes. I aim to create a space where clients feel safe, curious, and empowered to be themselves. My approach is warm, playful, and developmentally sensitive, and I value collaborating with caregivers to support long-term growth.

I support clients with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, body image, disordered eating, anger, and stress. I also offer affirming care for neurodivergent children and youth and those with 2SLGBTQ+ identities. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed lens, and I draw from CBT, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, solution-focused, and humanistic approaches.

Because of my background in social service work and experience in hospital, school, and community settings, I take a holistic view of well-being. I’m especially passionate about helping clients understand how their development, environment, and identity shape their experiences.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m a cozy soul who loves the arts and can often be found curled up with a good book with my beloved dog by my side.
